With its antioxidant, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, nothing beats edelweiss when it comes to shielding the developing and delicate skin of babies and children.
Edelweiss acid binds free radicals, protects cells and is also suitable for sensitive skin. Our products use only cultivated and certified organic edelweiss extract from the Alps; protecting both your baby's skin and conserving the population of wild flowers in nature.

A baby's skin is far thinner than an adult's and its sebaceous and sweat glands are not yet fully functional. All of which means a weaker protective acid mantle on the skin's surface that remains a work in progress. This protective mantle, ideally with a pH of about 5.5, is a key factor protecting against moisture loss, aggressive external influences and harmful bacteria.
We configure GermaCare baby care products to a pH value of 5.5 to strengthen the acid mantle and prevent irritation.

Edelweiss (INCI Leontopodium Alpinum Flower/Leaf Extract) is an alpine plant native to Europe that grows at altitudes of 2,000 – 3,000 metres. It is a known symbol of “Alps and affection.” With its antioxidant, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, nothing beats edelweiss when it comes to shielding the developing and delicate skin of babies and children.
Allantoin
Allantoin (INCI Allantoin) is a thoroughbred cosmetic ingredient that can do it all. It is used for sensitive, dry and irritated skin. In combination with the organic edelweiss extract from the Alps, allantoin is the second ingredient of the GermaCare Complex, paving the way for our extra-special products to work.
